Connect Institute a organisé le samedi 04 novembre 2017 la cérémonie de lancement du Concours Arts Visuels Agadir (CAVA), un programme qui vise l’accompagnement de jeunes de la région d’Agadir, passionnés des arts visuels, pour réaliser des vidéos de courte durée sous le thème « Vivre Ensemble ».
Voici un résumé fait par Maryam Gamar, participante au programme CAVA :
The support and the presence of the European Union in Morocco, were a great motivation and drive for CAVA’s participants to give a spectacular show in honor to their audience. ciBAND, Connect Institute’s music band, opened the show with a billowing cover of the song “Imik simik”, its lyrics is a mixture of Berber and English language, showing by this how harmonious and rhythmic the crossing of two languages, and thus, two cultures, can be. Afterwards, there was TANDRA, a hypnotizing dance that shook the hearts of most who were present and erode the dust on the stage from its slumber. By the End of the show, the participants performed a play called “thé à la menthe”, in which a foreigner comes to visit a rural and culturally rich area during its celebration of Ahwash festival. The events of the play show how tolerance and compromise could happen from small gestures, within the indigenous community and with a foreign visitor. The foreigner within the story gave an inspirational speech, in which she declares how the manner of serving of the Moroccan tea inspired her to see a form of tolerance, mainly, that it’s served regardless of the identity of the person, and happens to cross with its bittersweet tinge, all boarders.

et une étrangère française.
